Dedicated Hardware Is A Deliberate Choice, Not A Default
We sell VPS plans far more often than dedicated servers, and that's by design — most workloads that feel like they need "a real server" are actually well served by a properly-sized VPS at a fraction of the cost. Dedicated hardware earns its price when the reasons are specific: a database workload sensitive enough that even hypervisor-level jitter matters, a compliance requirement that mandates single-tenant hardware, a licensing model that's billed per physical socket, or sustained CPU load high enough that virtualization overhead is measurably costing you money. If none of those apply to you, we'll say so plainly rather than upsell you into hardware you don't need.
When bare metal is the right call, we don't cut corners on it. Every server we ship runs ECC RAM, because silent memory corruption is a real risk under sustained load and error-correcting memory catches it before it becomes a 3am incident. RAID is standard, not an add-on, because a single failed drive shouldn't be the difference between a normal Tuesday and a full outage. And because you can't SSH into a server that's failed to boot, every machine includes IPMI out-of-band access from day one — you can power-cycle, reinstall, or reach the console remotely regardless of what's happening on the server's own network interface.
- ✔ ECC RAM standard — not an upsell
- ✔ Hardware RAID across every plan
- ✔ IPMI out-of-band console access included
- ✔ We'll tell you honestly if VPS is the better fit
Dedicated Server FAQ
A VPS is a virtualized slice of a shared physical machine. A dedicated server is the entire physical machine, exclusively yours — no hypervisor overhead, no other tenant sharing the hardware, and full access to every core and every byte of RAM in the chassis.
Standard configurations are typically provisioned within 4-24 hours. Custom hardware requests (specific drive configurations, additional RAM, GPU add-ons) can take 2-5 business days depending on component availability.
Yes, at no charge for standard tasks like reboots, cable checks, and drive replacements. Our data centre technicians can also assist with more involved hardware work; complex requests may carry a small remote-hands fee, quoted before any work begins.
Yes. Every dedicated server includes IPMI/iDRAC-equivalent out-of-band access, so you can reboot, reinstall the OS, or access the console even if the server's network stack is unresponsive.
Yes, every plan ships with hardware RAID across at least two NVMe drives. Higher tiers use RAID 10 across four drives for better throughput and redundancy.
